Our guides help readers think through everyday food-delivery choices. They are written by LateBite Pause Editorial, the organization behind the app.
Who writes these guides
LateBite Pause Editorial is our organizational author, not an individual clinician or academic. We make LateBite Pause and have a commercial interest in the app. The guides should be useful without installing it. Product descriptions are kept separate from research findings.
How we select sources
We use peer-reviewed primary papers, reviews and meta-analyses, and reputable institutions for practical guidance. We check the actual outcome and setting against the sentence we want to write. We look for limitations and contrary findings, not just results that fit a product story. This is a focused editorial search, not a systematic review.
Where only an abstract is accessible, we limit the claim to what it reports. We do not infer methods, numbers or results from a title. Source links use DOI records, journal pages or institutional publications. Access depth and the claim-to-source mapping are maintained in our editorial ledger.
How to read the evidence
An association does not establish causation. A controlled experiment can support a causal conclusion within its design, but does not automatically transfer to another setting. Hypothetical reward choices, food-desire ratings, vending purchases and actual delivery orders are different outcomes. A meta-analysis summarizes its included studies; it does not test every practical suggestion in these guides.
None of our cited sources evaluates LateBite Pause. We do not claim that research proves the app works, identify an optimal pause length, or promise fewer orders or money saved. These guides do not provide medical, diet or therapy advice.
Examples, images and app screens
Names, conversations and spending examples in guides are fictional and labelled as illustrations. Topic artwork uses generated paper-cut illustrations, not documentary photography. App screenshots use genuine production-composable source captures with synthetic demonstration data. They are not customer testimonials, measured outcomes or generated UI.
Dates and corrections
Each guide shows its writing and review date. A date changes after a substantive editorial review, not just to look recent. The first five guides were written and reviewed on 16 September 2026. We do not claim expert peer review of our articles.
